The City of Azle seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of 2nd Assistant Golf Professional at Cross Timbers Golf Course.

• The full salary range for this position is $44,113 - $60,857 annually; starting salary DOQ*

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
Under administrative direction, and in accordance with City of Azle Personnel Policies, performs responsible supervisory duties by assisting with the day-to-day operations at Cross Timbers Golf Course. Operations to include personnel, pro-shop functions, and related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES, PURSUANT TO THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT:
Hires, trains, and mentors the Outside Services staff in accordance with City and Cross Timbers policies.
Manages the maintenance, appearance, and functionality of the golf cart fleet. Keeps in contact with the Service Manager and Sales Representative to communicate golf course needs.
Provides leadership and direction to Pro-Shop and Outside Services staff. Provides superior customer service in all aspects of the operation.
Will provide support to the 1st Assistant and General Manager in all areas of the golf operation. Assists the 1st Assistant to help grow the game of golf in Azle.

Formal Education /Experience:
Minimum of a High School diploma, some college preferred. Completion of the PGA Golf Management Program Level 1 or beyond. PGM suspension at any time is not permitted. 1-3 years golf shop management experience preferred.
Valid Texas Driver"s License and any license, training, or certification required by law or regulation to complete assigned tasks; experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

JOB ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs, and frequently lift up to 25lbs. Frequent standing required. Must be able to withstand extreme temperatures.
