As an AR Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing our company's accounts receivable and ensuring that outstanding debts are collected in a timely and efficient manner. You will work closely with clients to resolve any billing discrepancies and negotiate payment terms.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be comfortable working with numbers and data, and possess a strong sense of persistence and determination. Additionally, experience in collections or accounts receivable management is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the company's accounts receivable
  • Contact clients to collect on outstanding debts
  • Negotiate payment terms and follow up on past-due accounts
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
  • File liens against properties within allowable time limits per state and initiate MDJ claims
  • Work with attorneys to initiate legal action when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records of collections activity and update customer account information as needed
  • Communicate with other departments within the company to ensure proper billing and collections procedures are followed
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and maintain positive relationships

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • Knowledge of collections laws and regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
