Pay:

· $17.00 – $19.00 per hour

Job Purpose:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing customer relationships and accounting standards while providing the highest level of customer service. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, highly value customer service, have strong written and verbal communication, have a desire to learn, and ability to review facts to solve problems. Responsibilities of the role will include assisting with customer payments, billing inquiries, account cancellations, and managing past due balances. The AR Specialist will be responsible for assisting with monthly account invoicing, customer account billing changes, and various accounting reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer general billing questions, resolve billing issues, and work with intercompany departments to address and resolve customer needs.
  • Execute daily billing changes with accuracy (new and existing accounts).
  • Process daily account cancellations and billing for new customer accounts.
  • Provide high level of customer service via verbal and written communication.
  • Manage past due balances and communicate with customers to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies that may exist.
  • Post daily customer payments, manage misapplied or unapplied payments, and ensure account contact and bill-to information is up to date.
  • Maintain billing accuracy with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Completion or working towards degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) or has relevant experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in accounting or related field.
  • Basic typing ability, ability to focus on task at hand, basic math skills, problem solver, independent thinker, and strong and genuine desire to help resolve customer issues.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized and has analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management.
  • Eager to learn and grow.
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge in Basics of Accounting, Reporting Skills, Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, PC Proficiency, Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or other Accounting Software, and General Math Skills.

Work Authorization:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must have clean background to obtain industry required Alarm Registrant Permit.

Travel:

  • Minimal to no travel is expected for this position.

Work Environment:

  • Traditional office setting. Candidate will spend most of their day working at their desk using company provided computer and office phone. This role does not require heavy lifting or manual labor.
