Summary/objective
Responsibilities include reconciling invoices and identifying discrepancies, creating, and updating expense reports, processing reimbursement forms, preparing bank deposits, entering financial transactions into internal databases, checking spreadsheets for accuracy, maintaining digital and physical financial records, issuing invoices to customers and external partners, as needed, reviewing and filing payroll documents, and participating in quarterly and annual audits.

- Maintains all accounting and financial records of the Firm including the general accounts, cash management, accounts receivable/payable, collections, corporate expenditures, and summary financial statements.
- Assist with new vendor setup and W9 supplier information and oversee documentation of vendor certificates of insurance.
- Collect, review, and process monthly expense reports.
- Reconcile company credit cards and maintain/filed records of expense reports.
- Manages EFT, bank deposits, client cheques, and credit card transactions.
- Performs bank reconciliations.
- Maintain and track vehicle licensing, inventory, and insurance requirements.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of tools and processes necessary to extract and manipulate data for recurring and ad-hoc reporting.
- Maintain a logical and secure filing system for electronic documents.
- Assist in the processing of Payroll.
- Interprets contract provisions to identify allowable and non-allowable expenditures.
- Assist in monthly accounting processes, including, but not limited to customer set-ups, invoicing, revenue recognition, AR and cash receipts research, and general ledger review.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Project Accountant and Accounting Associates
Work environment
- A general office environment requires long periods of sitting at a computer. The environmental conditions generally include ambient inside temperature, lighting, and noise level.
- Due to the collaborative nature of this position and accessibility for in-house meetings, it is important that the work may need to be performed in the office and during normal business hours.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit, walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop or kneel, climb, or balance, talk or hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects tools or control.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds on occasion.
Travel required.
- Must be able to travel to client/job sites as needed
Education and experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Years of Experience: 10

- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of pertinent data.
Work Authorization
- Must be legally eligible to work full-time in the United States. Currently, DBS is not providing visa sponsorship.
