Accounting Professional for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Tampa.
Our client is an established non-profit in the area and due to growth is looking to add a Grant Accountant to their team! This role will be a critical team member with this organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GRANT ACCOUNTANT
- The Grant Accountant will compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts as needed.
- The Grant Accountant will be responsible for maintaining federal, state, and other funding source regulations and requirements for non-profit organizations.
- Work closely with Managers to ensure grant budget and fiscal compliance.
- Responsible for identifying any variance from budget to actual and identify trends and opportunities for increased efficiency.
- Review financial statements, monthly, to ensure the accuracy of program's revenue and expenditures. Perform monthly reconciliations of the general ledger.
- Assist outside auditors at year-end to include preparing schedules and providing explanation of support materials and products as related to grants/contracts.
- The Grant Accountant will assist with special projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree within an Accounting Field and 5+ years of experience OR equivalent combination of experience may be considered.
- Sales and use tax experience preferred but not required.
- Organization and communication skills must be exceptional.
- Computer skills need to be broad based.
