Steamatic is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team to assist in the growth of our company and strength of our financial reporting and analysis. This Includes working side by side with our head accountant to create and analyze financial reports, process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices and tax payments. As well as balance cash flow, data input and preparation and consolidation of the general ledger and other related financial statements. Our ideal candidate holds a finance degree (or related degree of business or economics). We are looking for an individual who is goal oriented and driven in their career. Having an open mind and optimistic outlook are essential to succeed and grow within our company.
Responsibilities
· Balance Sheet Reconciliations
· Support with Accounts Receivable/collections
· Assist with Account Payable
· Make phone calls to follow up with accounts receivable when applicable.
· Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts as needed
· Enter data and maintain records on various expense accounts of the company
· Maintain vendor and client relationships
· Handle payroll in a timely manner
· Meet Key Performance Indicators on a week to week and month to month basis
· Work directly with project managers to stay ahead of billing and receivables
Required Skill
· Proven accounting experience of 1-3 years
· High Degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounts figures and financial records
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
· Effective organizational skills
· Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
· Proficiency in Microsoft softwares (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
· Customer service orientation with good communication skills
· Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field
· CPA is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
