Somera Capital Management is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join the team!
Somera Capital is a boutique real estate investment firm that was founded in 1994 to acquire and manage value-added real estate investments on behalf of our principals and accredited investor partners.
The Accounting Assistant is expected to work 30 hours a week and will be eligible for benefits. The pay range for this position is between $22 and $25 per hour.
Summary of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor phone calls/voicemails and respond to emails professionally and efficiently.
- Assist in vendor maintenance, bank reconciliations, and account payable.
- Prepare, deposit and record bank deposits.
- Create ETL files from Trial Balances to import monthly activity into financial software.
- Reconcile monthly financials.
- Assist with quarterly distribution packets.
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills as well as strong proficiency in Yardi and MS Office. Word, Excel and Outlook.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
