Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk position will help to support the Finance Department with daily tasks and data entry to support multiple business units with accounting and cashier tasks. This position can accommodate a flexible part-time schedule with potential for full-time employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cashier duties which include bank deposits, change orders and counting business unit cash drops and verification of cash on hand in company safes at specified intervals
- Accounts Payable data entry, check runs and monthly credit card entry
- Weekly direct billing and monthly wholesale billing
- Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and prepare statements when required
- Prepare general ledger journal entries
- Process daily business unit sales transaction paperwork including verification of hotel vouchers and accuracy of bus bill transactions
- Perform other accounting tasks as assigned
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external customers.
- General accounting knowledge required
- Ten key adding machine skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent writing and mathematical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet assigned due dates
- Detail oriented
