Summary/Objective
Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely recording of accounting transaction activities in accordance with US GAAP. This includes the management of month end close activities, financial analysis and reporting, and account reconciliation. The individual in this position ensures adherence to our control environment and supports internal/external audit requests. This position is a key business partner to Finance, Operations, Sourcing & Demand Planning, and Sales & Marketing Department.
Essential Functions
· Oversees the general accounting function (team of 4) and is responsible for the completion of month end close activities in a timely and accurate manner
· Confirms accounting teams are maintaining necessary supporting documents and schedules for all general ledger accounts and ensures reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner
· Ensures critical financial processes are sustained and transactions have been recorded in an accurate, consistent, and timely manner for reporting of our financial statements
· Responsible for efficient and effective execution of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
· Manage the accounting team performance with a focus on development and training
· Develops and implements consistent policies, procedures, accounting principles, best practices and reporting requirements throughout the accounting organization and ensures appropriate cross-training
· Utilizes financial data to proactively identify areas for process improvement, standardization, and automation
· Ensure compliance to all US GAAP
· Responsible for ensuring internal controls are in place and timely remediation of control findings
· Manage and complete external and tax audit requests and analysis
· Manage improvement projects, systems implementations, and process integrations
· Foster collaborative relationships with cross functional stakeholders with a focus on customer service
Job Competencies

A minimum travel is required for this position
Qualifications Required
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred
· A minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role.
· A minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution is preferred.
· Sage 100 accounting system experience highly preferred, but not required.
· Requires a demonstrated ability to multitask, and to rapidly switch from one set of duties and responsibilities to another without losing productivity or making mistakes.
· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.
· Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
· Understanding and use of Outlook and Word, advanced Excel skill level

Salary: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
