Job Title: Accounting Supervisor-Payroll
Location: Omaha
Reporting to: Plant Controller/Accounting Manager
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage Weekly and Bi-weekly payroll processing
- Supervise 1-2 Accounting specialists
- Oversee Daily Payroll Time Sheet Edits and other payroll duties
- Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly audit processes
- Assist Controller with month end closing process
- Responsible for Monthly plant cash deposit
- Ongoing training of direct reports, plant supervisors and new hires in regards to payroll process and time edits
- Other duties as assigned
Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- 5 years of related experience
- Knowledge or experience working in meat or food processing industry and Union environment preferred but not required
- Experience working in Kronos or SAP systems preferred but not required
Skills/Abilities Required:
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, namely Excel
- Must be able to multi task and possess strong detail oriented analytical abilities
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays
- Bilingual skills preferred but not required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to occasional travel to Headquarters
