A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK

Each day, our AP Clerks process a large volume of AP invoices coming from our US plant operations. You would be responsible for opening daily mail, keying invoices into Oracle for processing, performing 3-way matches, and verifying that all information is correct. You would also research AP issues for vendors, plant locations and other Darling team members via phone, emails and scanning. You need to have a good head for accuracy and be detail-oriented. Other projects in support of the department may be assigned as needed.

To thrive in this position, you'll need to be comfortable with technology and have a good command of Microsoft Outlook and Excel. We also use Oracle E-Business Suite to connect us to our customer base, use Microsoft Teams to communicate internally and externally, and a handful of other tools to keep us all connected and efficient.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• A minimum of 2 years of account payable experience working in industry or public accounting.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

In addition, you need to be able to do the following:

• Frequently lift up to 10 lbs.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Use solid customer service skills.
