This position will own part of the accounting function for the organization. This function includes reviewing and entering SG&A vendor invoices along with supporting documentation into companies ERP system. Will also assist with journal entry creation and reconciliation against GL accounts for multiple companies. Will also assist in AR function of the company.Candidates should have a strong sense of ownership, solid analytic skills, and a desire to learn complex processes and systems. Candidates should feel comfortable both in a team environment and working independently. This position will report to the controller and assist with any special projects needed.
Key duties/responsibilities of Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Candidate should have one to two years’ experience in an accounting environment or an AA Degree in Accounting.
- Must be comfortable working with customers or vendors to successfully resolve and manage conflicts.
- Responsible for reviewing and processing vendor invoices with needed supporting documentation into companies ERP systems.
- Must understand general accounting concepts to be able to create journal entries and code to the correct GL accounts.
- Working cross-functionally with other departments to ensure accounting objectives are met.
- Participating in month-end close activities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Software and Quick Books. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.
- Ability to work in a high transaction volume accounting department.
- Will work any other accounting task assigned by Controller or Vice President
Work Environment:
Open floor office environment where the noise level is moderate to loud.
