Maranata School Bus Service is looking for a career minded individual with a minimum of 2 year’s experience using QuickBooks desktop. Maranata is a growing, fast paced, school bus, school charter company. This successful candidate will work cooperatively with our manager and dispatchers to create a solid and progressive work environment.
Work responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Perform day to day financial transactions, included verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables.
- Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted in QuickBooks.
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients billing issues.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Process checks requests and expense reports on a regular basis.
- Accurately review, code and process vendor invoices.
- Perform data entry associated with accounts payable.
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
- Audit and process credit card bills.
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Other tasks as well.
Requirements:
- 2 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE IN ACCOUNTING REQUIRED
- 2 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE IN QUICKBOOKS REQUIRED
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently and within a small office environment cooperatively.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
