Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. Entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L will be among the Accounts Receivable Clerk's duties. Since the Accounts Receivable Clerk will handle 200+ invoices a week, they must be a self-starter with high attention to detail. This is a short-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Cleburne, Texas area.Your responsibilities in this role
- Verify codes and documents
- Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
- Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers
- Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers
- Provide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
- Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
- Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
- Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization
- 3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
- Knowledgeable of ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft
- Comprehensive knowledge of Commercial Collections
- Adeptness in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Foundational knowledge in billing
- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
