Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist Finance Department Full Time

We are a growing International Logistics company with offices in the Portland and Seattle metro areas. Our experienced team assists our clients in the movement of freight across the globe and delivering those goods to all points in the US and abroad.

Our continuing growth is such that we need to add to our finance team. Our Portland office is looking for an individual with the right stuff to join this team. Our team is comprised of individuals who exude positive attitudes, are problem-solvers, patient with one another, and continually strive to be excellent communicators. This enables us to provide the very best customer service to our valued clients, even during fast-paced days. We are looking for an individual who is savvy, quick clerically and maybe, just maybe, has jokes. The focus of this position will enable us to produce timely invoices and communication to our international clients which in turn, increases the velocity of cash flow, which is imperative to any company.

Salary and Benefits: Depends on experience, Health & Dental insurance, PTO, holidays, and Simple IRA retirement savings with partial employee match.

Responsibilities

Audit forms, invoicing, and adjustment of accounts

Ensuring all invoices are prepared and submitted to the customer in a timely manner

Research and resolve customer inquiries and ensure the information being provided is consistent and accurate and timely

Verify all services provided are included on the invoice at the appropriate rate

Answering emails and making phone calls related to general accounting questions

Audit invoices for appropriate documentation/back up prior to making payment

Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivables and post received data in our software

Research & resolve short paid invoices or re-bill additional transactions

Conduct weekly audits to ensure billing is accurate and complete

Skills & Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and accuracy required

Analytical & problem-solving skills required

Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task

Ability to interact and communicate professionally with various departments and customers

Willingness to learn and to grow with the company

Strong verbal and written communications skills
