ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Reports To: CFO,
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Under the direction of the CFO, the administrative assistant is responsible for providing support to the executive and sales-management team to enable AG RX to meet its goals of growing the business, operating efficiently, building a bench of engaged employee-owners, creating a culture of a preferred employer. In addition to typing, filing and scheduling, performs duties such as financial-record keeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings, and working on special projects. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Assist in company mailings (i.e. ESOP)
- Help prepare board meeting documents and presentations
- Compile and prepare expense reports
- Prepare reports to monitor sales-team’s progress
- Schedule and organize meetings (i.e. agendas, invitations, food, etc.)
- Assist and manage sales promotional materials
- Assist in publication of customer newsletter
- Type and design general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes.
Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:
A high school diploma or its equivalent (G.E.D – Certification of Completion), with a minimum of 1 years’ administrative experience. Preferred Associates degree with 2 years of related experience.
Organizational Skills:
Be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to utilize general business mathematical skills; Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic accounting principles.
Effective Communication Skills:
Be able to communicate effectively – Verbal communication-speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations, listen and get clarification, respond well to questions; demonstrate group presentation skills; participate in meetings. Written communication-write clearly and informatively, present numerical data effectively, able to read and interpret written information. Bi-lingual in Spanish, both verbal and written, preferred.
Computer Skills:
Must be proficient in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be able to learn to utilize AgVance software to mine data and formulate reports. Must be able to communicate efficiently using Email. Experience in Agvance accounting software and Agrian is preferred but not required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A current, Non-restricted California Driver’s License.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
