Kett Engineering is seeking a Travel Administrator for our client located in Ypsilanti, MI for a 6-month project with opportunity for an extension.
The Travel Administrator is expected to support the arrangement of corporate travel through close collaboration with contracted travel agencies by ensuring all travel arrangements meet the requirements of the corporate travel policy.
This position includes administrative activities including, but not limited to: creating check requests, processing invoices, and tracking payment activities.
The ideal candidate would be comfortable working with multiple levels, from freshman engineers to senior management. This candidate will utilize excellent analytic and problem-solving capabilities, a detail-oriented nature, and drive for constant operational improvement.
Ultimately, this position will have a firm grasp on the overall activities of the organization and ability to address multiple tasks at any given time.
This position includes administrative activities including, but not limited to:
- Working closely with a travel agency for travel reservations for the client and
managing their itinerary
- Processing approved travel requests and internal system.
- Serving as a liaison between the client and travel company, handling issues that
arise during travel
- Able to input information (i.e. Expenses) in SAP
- Updating the client’s contact list with names, phone numbers, and email addresses
of all individuals who will be part of the trip
- Closely monitor travel agency seamlessly supporting for transfers between
airports, hotels, rental cars, etc.
- Resolving complaints made by the client or staff members of the travel company

- Have a general knowledge of office administration practices
- Have a demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines and ability to adapt to
changing business requirements
- Be willing to embrace multi-cultural working environments.
- Perform additional projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED/equivalent
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience as an Administrative Assistant or
equivalent secretarial expertise
