The Administrative Assistant II of the Office of Equity and Compliance is responsible and accountable to the Vice President of Equity Compliance. The Administrative Assistant II is responsible to support office operations for the Vice President and the staff within the office. This involves, but is not limited to, working with staff on Human Resources, related procedures, understanding and enforcing office and school policy, working with other departments and caring for travel, reconciliation of expenditures, phone and calendar work, event planning and greeting students and guests on behalf of the office and the Vice President.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Assists Vice President with scheduling appointments and meetings, answering the phone, and keeping the division budget.

2. Coordinates processing, tracking, and filing paperwork and all Human Resources documents through Workday.

3. Keeps calendar and coordinates access to conference rooms and schedules meetings with key stakeholders.

4. Completes necessary budget paperwork such as requisitions, requests for checks, encumbrances, budget amendments, Procurement, etc.

5. Orders office supplies and equipment as needed.

6. Meets and greets students and visitors to the office and participates with assisting in the intake process.

7. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, and weekends.

2. Excellent verbal and written communication, arithmetic, and organizational skills.

3. Detail-oriented and ability to organize meetings and schedules.

4. Ability to utilize a calculator and computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

5. Ability to articulate and defend the unique Christian educational mission and vision of Liberty University and its subsidiaries to a wide variety of individuals and groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in business-related discipline.

2. Experience working in a fast-paced office environment.

3. Experience supporting an Executive level position.

4. Knowledge of Banner and Outlook.

5. Fluent in Spanish or American Sign Language.
