POSITION SUMMARY:The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the smooth functioning of the Administrative Office by developing and implementing efficient systems to manage the flow of work, calls, information and correspondence related to administrative operations of the organization. Provides direct support to the Administrator. Provides for the support needs of other senior leaders as requested, either directly or through systems of accountable delegation. Coordinates meetings and functions for the hospital. Maintains updated Administrative Polices and contracts, and other meetings as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Description:
Related education/training in supervision/management skills and bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience: Prior office experience with MS office, Excel experience and special project experience required
Knowledge: Knowledge of personal computer systems, i.e., spreadsheets, word processing required; data collection/processing for statistical reports is preferred. Knowledge of alphanumeric and/or color-coded filing systems, and composition, grammar, punctuation, business English for business correspondence is required. Knowledge and ability to operate photo-copying machine, facsimile, postage meter, calculator.
Specials Skills/
Equipment: The ability to make decisions with a minimum of supervision, the ability to relate to professionals an non-professionals, as well as mentally and/or emotionally disturbed children and adults who may or may not be in a crisis situation, are all required. Good interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written are necessary. Ability to type 65 wpm accurately, use a word processing system and a personal computer; ability to prioritize, attention to detail and the ability to work with and maintain confidentiality of all work-related information is required.
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
