TFE work for the Legacy Management Support (LMS) contract is in support of the Department of Energy’s Office of Legacy Management (LM) (the client) mission to fulfill post-closure responsibilities at 100 sites across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Services include a variety of activities to ensure the future protection of human health and the environment at mission-related sites that are closed and transferred to LM for long-term stewardship and management. https://www.energy.gov/lm/lm-sites
Responsibilities
The Administrative Support Lead will assist the Manager and performs a variety of business-related assignments in program and project management including:
- Agenda preparation for bi-weekly staff meetings,
- Updating the Administrative Support Desktop Procedures Manual
- Filing deliverable emails and checklists in SharePoint.
- Work with the manager and Information Management manager in modernizing and optimizing the administrative group by moving to modern SharePoint.
- Act as a delegate to the manager when the administrative manager is unavailable (except timesheets)
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
- Must be a current administrative support specialist on the LMS contract
Necessary Skills
- Experience in activities dealing with business and organizational issues is required.
- College degrees can be substituted for years of experience.
- Good problem solving, analytical, and team-building skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of business requirements and ability to apply them in practical situations to address issues of deficiencies.
- Coordinate meetings, tracking deliverables, correspondence control, and maintaining and coordinating individual & organizational schedules.
- Experience with information technologies, content management, and MS Office.
Location and Work Schedule
This position is location is flexible
This position is full-time and can work either a 5/8 or 9/80 schedule.
