Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for an Absenteeism Administrator in the Steel Producing Division at our Burns Harbor, Indiana operation. The Absenteeism Administrator routinely Assists in the administration of the Steel Producing Department’s Absenteeism policy.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Tracking call-offs through our call-off system
  • Tracking discipline write-up for Absenteeism
  • Utilizing the Leave report from Steel Administrator for approved FMLA absences
  • Sorting Excuses from hourly employees for timeliness & validity
  • Responsible for maintaining a variety of spreadsheets for Absenteeism
  • Generate reports
  • Good organizational & communication within a self-directed culture.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-year administrative degree from an accredited educational institution, OR for the exceptional candidate, a high school diploma from an accredited educational institution with significant experience
  • Good organizational & communication within a self-directed culture.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a unionized environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook or Continental Message Solution (CMS) programs
