Job description

The hours for this position will be : 7pm to 730am

week 1 - Friday, Saturday and Sunday

week 2 - Thursday, Friday and Sunday

The Admissions Specialist, must be a Registered Nurse and will be responsible for coordinating admissions to the facility.

  • Reviewing referrals and admissions packets
  • Evaluates referral packets
  • Registering new patients, greeting family members
  • Communications with the discharge planner at referral hospitals
  • Completion of Admission Contracts
  • Supports patient care on the units and Admissions departments administratively

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing
  • Must be licensed in the state of Michigan as a Registered Nurse
  • 2 years of experience working in Admissions in a healthcare setting; preferably a psychiatric setting or structured outpatient program
  • Must be able to work the hours indicated
