Job description
The hours for this position will be : 7pm to 730am
week 1 - Friday, Saturday and Sunday
week 2 - Thursday, Friday and Sunday
The Admissions Specialist, must be a Registered Nurse and will be responsible for coordinating admissions to the facility.
- Reviewing referrals and admissions packets
- Evaluates referral packets
- Registering new patients, greeting family members
- Communications with the discharge planner at referral hospitals
- Completion of Admission Contracts
- Supports patient care on the units and Admissions departments administratively
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Must be licensed in the state of Michigan as a Registered Nurse
- 2 years of experience working in Admissions in a healthcare setting; preferably a psychiatric setting or structured outpatient program
- Must be able to work the hours indicated
