A Chevy Chase family is seeking a mentor to spend time with their 2 sons (10 & 12) after school.

The family wants a candidate who can be uplifting, talk with the boys about their day, play games with them, and provide homework help as needed. It is not a traditional tutoring role, and the focus should be on providing activities the boys need to feel happy and energized, rather than forcing academically-oriented activities.

The ideal candidate can meet the boys where they are emotionally on any particular day. For example, this may mean playing video games with them for an hour if that's the kind of day they're having. On other days it may mean going for a bike ride, meeting up with friends, doing a fun science experiment, or helping them learn a new skill that they're interested in.

The family is looking for someone 2-3 afternoons a week from about 3:00pm-6:00pm. They live in Chevy Chase and the position would pay $30/hour.
