What can you expect?
As our Agile Centre of Excellence (CoE) grows at pace, our Global Agility Leader seeks an experienced Agile Coach, with the ability to coach a global team of coaches.
You will guide our Product Squads through our agile journey, providing coaching, mentoring, and training across all of the Marsh McLennan (MMC) businesses, especially our technology executives, products owners, and product teams.

So will look for your ideas and input, to show how we can continually improve our learning approach to adopt new concepts and best practices.
You will join us at a key stage of our Digital Transformation journey, with the autonomy to coach our leadership and delivery teams on best agile practice, helping us find the path to success through sincere, passionate, and effective coaching.
You will help us improve our business agility across our organizations through a combination of agile coaching, better practices, attention to metrics and direct assistance.
Our Agile CoE collaborates with experts in DevOps, Software Engineering, Test Engineering, Training, Development Tooling & Metrics, so an understanding of the Software Delivery LifeCycle (SDLC) would be an advantage.

We will count on you to:
- Be a role model for agile practices within the organisation, ensuring that all stakeholders understand the agile principles and the part they need to play to contribute to success
- Shape the continuous improvement mindset of the organisation, create high-performing Pods & Squads focused on customer centricity and value, fostering self-management and collaboration
- Coach and provide tailored expertise across multiple teams to assess and uplift agile capability e.g., clear alignment with goals, breaking down work consistently, savvy backlog management, servant leadership mindset, etc.
- Curate and deliver agile capability uplift across the Pods and broader MMC e.g., training, custom workshops, coaching, mentoring, value stream analysis, etc.
- Leverage the Agile Coach, Agile Leader, Product Owner, and Squad Leader communities to identify systemic (pan-MMC) inhibitors of agile ways of working and drive the resolution of these to enable the successful scaling of agile
- Work with other Agile Coaches to establish and evolve MMC Agile@Scale framework and guidance, and improve the application of agile practices across MMC
- Share industry trends and best practices, contribute thought leadership to our internal community, and influence external agile communities and standards
- Demonstrated coaching ability, with a strong servant leadership philosophy, strong understanding of the differences between coaching, mentoring, teaching
- Extensive or subject-matter expert understanding of agile frameworks' principles, components, and features, with a continuous learning approach to new concepts and best practices
- Extensive experience analysing and connecting concepts across the entirety of a system e.g., E2E value stream to understand how value flows through the system and diagnose and resolve complex issues
- Ability to manage and influence stakeholders with competing priorities
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and technical change delivery
What you will need to have:
Agile coaching experience helping teams adopt agile and overcome obstacles, ideally during an agile transformation journey in a large organization. They must be able to engage with teams and stakeholders, understanding the challenges and needs all and helping them to find the path to success through sincere, passionate, and effective coaching.
Must haves:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience, with 3+ years of experience as an Agile Coach, helping teams adopt agile and overcome obstacles, within large, complex organisations
- Exposure to Large Scale Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile, any certifications such as CSP (Scrum), KMP (Kanban) & ICP-ACC (ICAgile) would be highly desirable
- Experience in producing tangible results through baselining and improving key metrics
- Strong skills in facilitation, continuous improvement, empowerment, and transparency
- Knowledge and experience with agile techniques like User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, Pairing, Agile Games, etc.
- Experience with electronic story boards and Wikis such as Jira / ADO / Confluence
- Familiarity with Large Scale Scrum, Scrum@Scale, Scaled Agile and Spotify Culture

- Ability to evaluate organizational maturity and create a plan to improve it
- Familiarity with Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) and technical change delivery
- Computing or engineering qualification to degree level, and an ICF certification.
- Experience of working with Business and Technology teams at an Executive level
