Major Function:
- Responsible for maintaining, expanding and actively building new client relationships that will promote and enhance growth and profitability. Maintain solid underwriting quality and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and bank policies
Essential Duties:
- Calls on existing and potential clients to develop new business opportunities.
- Originates new and renewed agriculture/ commercial loans.
- Reviews and analyzes credit request to conform to underwriting guidelines.
- Structures standard and non-standard credit requests and seeks approval for exceptions to credit policy.
- Prepares and closes loans in accordance with regulations and documentation guidelines.
- Manages loans within established loan portfolio to retain high loan quality level and compliance with all laws and regulations relating to the lending function and internal loan policy.
- Manages problem loans to maximize recovery to the Bank.
- Maintains credit files with current financial information and calling effort reports.
- Conducts collateral reviews and provide inspection summaries.
- Negotiates terms and structures loan financing based on risk considerations.
- Creates an environment where staff is motivated to perform at their best.
- Promotes bank products and services by identifying and communicating opportunities to existing and potential clients.
- Assists other employees/departments to promote teamwork and good communication.
- Promotes a positive bank image through community involvement
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or agriculture related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of bank experience required with an emphasis in Ag Lending.
- Must be willing to relocate in the immediate Nevada area.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of lending regulations, compliance and procedures.
- ability to effectively communicate with prospective and current clients and professionals.
- Demonstrated time management skills, particularly establishing and executing a plan of action.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Moody's Analytics.
- Organizational skills that facilitate working under pressure and performing several tasks simultaneously in an accurate manner.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
