What you'll be doing:

Airport Lounge Manager

You will be providing a professional catering service across a large contract, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met. As the Duty Manager, you will enjoy getting the best out of people, you draw satisfaction from managing, training and supporting your team whilst delivering value to your employer.

Overall Purpose of the Role

  • To be responsible for the overall efficient and effective management of the contract to ensure great quality, consistent food and beverage services across 5 outlets
  • To maintain positive client relationships ensuring we are true partners in their business
  • To ensure the smooth planning of the contract and resources to deliver a first-class food and beverage service to our clients and customers
  • To be responsible for the management, recruitment, development and training of 35 team members
  • To ensure the contract is fully compliant with company policies and procedures
  • To deliver on the agreed financial budget and run commercially in line with net income and cost targets

You will ensure that your location achieves the financial targets agreed with the client in line with your site budget. Working with your Operations Manager you will monitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, identify training needs and ensuring we are meeting the standards required by the client.

As a team you will ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service and that their food service and value expectations are consistently exceeded. Making sure all Food Safety, Health and Safety and Risk Assessments are conducted to ensure that all standards and procedures in respect of Food, Hygiene and Safety are established and maintained.

As the Duty Manager, you will ideally have a successful background in Contract Catering/Hospitality/Retail Catering, using your entrepreneurial skills to create a thriving and successful working environment. You possess excellent management and communication skills, have a good understanding of report writing and financial management, and be able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving. You will have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service and be financially and commercially astute.

Essential:

  • Previous experience in contract catering, managing a large site circa 3,000 customers
  • Experience of leading and managing teams to deliver results
  • Track record of growing sales and retaining business
  • Previous budget management and/or profit & loss responsibility
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to deliver an exceptional Customer experience
  • Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and engage teams
  • Positive attitude and adapts to changing Organisational and Operational service needs
  • Proven record in HR engagement and people management
  • Ability to liaise with colleagues, customers and clients at all levels
  • Quality and process driven with particular focus on delivering results
  • Financially astute with proven track record in managing P&L and achieving budget targets in a large Commercial operation
  • Compliant with Company policies and procedures in line with client agreements
  • IT Literate (MS Office, Email)
  • Full Clean Drivers Licence

    Desirable:

  • Knowledge of SAP & Nexus
  • Project/Change Management experience
  • Management of 7-day operation
