Location: Allied Boys and Girls Club
Title: Membership Services Associate
Reports to: Club Director
Status: 28 hours/week (Daytime and Afternoon Hours), Additional Hours available for Early Release and Non-School Days. Typical hours 1 pm-6:30 pm
Pay Range: $16.00/hour

The Memberships Services Associate (MSA) is an integral part of the Operations Team supporting the youth and community programs. . The Membership Services Associate is tasked with membership applications, payments, and completes data entry for the Clubs. This position provides outstanding customer service to Boys & Girls Clubs clients (members, families, volunteers, and community members) by creating a welcoming environment at the front desk area. The MSA completes data entry, answers phone calls/emails, and files paperwork. This position assists in meeting the staff-to-child ratio in Boys & Girls Clubs programs (licensed child care, community and/or preschool) when not carrying out primary job responsibilities. This position may require morning, weekend, and/or night hours. Individuals must be organized and enjoy working with the community.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Entering data and database management.
  • Reviewing membership applications for thoroughness.
  • Accepting and processing payments.
  • Answering phone calls and email inquiries.
  • Professional and courteous interactions with members, families, guests, and the community.
  • Providing positive guidance, role modeling, and daily support to members with guidance from assigned Group Lead Teacher(s).
  • Escorting members throughout the facility providing sight and sound supervision at all times.
  • Cleans disinfects and sanitizes program materials and equipment.
  • Adherence to all regulations as specified in DCF 251.
  • Contributing to the overall Club climate for youth development that includes but is not limited to program collaboration, attendance and active participation in staff meetings and training (daily, weekly, organizational), appropriate child guidance when necessary, and attendance at club special events as communicated by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Staff Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Diploma/GED/HSED
  • At least 1-year previous customer service preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or G Suite
  • Previous data entry experience preferred
  • The desire to work with youth (ages 2.5-24 years old) and community members
  • Willing to join fast-paced, energetic BGCDC Team
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Eligibility as a Caregiver as determined by the Department of Children and Families
  • Successful drug screening and physical examination
  • CPR and First-Aid certification required within 3 months of assuming the position (training provided by Organization)
  • School Age Group Leader qualified within 3 months of assuming the position (training provided by Organization).

WORK LOCATION

This is a direct service position and reports to the assigned worksite daily.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Physical abilities required include bending at the waist and reaching above the shoulder to maintain files, speaking and hearing to exchange information, and dexterity of hands and fingers to use a computer keyboard, and other office equipment. The indvidual will be exposed to extended periods of time walking and standing. Physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds.
