Position:
The Alts Origination & Product Management lead will manage the Firm’s alternative investments platform on the Opportunistic Investing team. The individual will lead origination and product management of the alternative investments open architecture platform, where the primary responsibility is to curate and to structure a world-class alternative investments platform by exploring new business opportunities and innovative offerings to deliver differentiated investment offerings to the Firm’s clients. The mandate includes managing the Firm’s existing alternative investments as well as future alternative investments as a product specialist and to ensure a smooth investment product experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
  • Source and cultivate access to top-tier alternative investments, principally in the United States, although global managers are also incorporated from time to time
  • Perform initial reviews of fund sponsors in an effort to access viability on the Firm’s investment platform
  • Assist in the transferring and onboarding of alternative investments onto the Firm’s platform
  • Meet various investment managers to assess their investment capabilities, product fit on the platform, and client demand versus other offerings
  • Structure new investment offerings by negotiating legal arrangements, creating educational and marketing materials, and drafting regular communications to investors
  • Lead launch calls between fund sponsors and the Company’s advisors and clients as a product specialist, who addresses advisor and client questions
  • Maintain an alternative investments database of key information, which powers downstream work processes for order entry and revenue accruals
  • Communicate the Firm’s custody requirements to fund managers to ensure streamlined implementation and reporting
  • Maintain an alternative investments website of compliance-approved reports, presentations, and recordings to provide the Company’s advisors and clients with timely product specific information
  • Track and present data metrics to assist in the growth and maintenance of the Company’s alternative investment platform
  • Partner with the finance team of private wealth management to explain selling agreements, track revenues, and ensure timely advisor payouts
  • Provide strategic and tactical advice in all aspects of the development and implementation of the Company’s alternative investment offerings in an effort to scale the business more effectively and efficiently
  • Participate in a variety of other firm activities and projects as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Economics, Business, Finance and/or technical field is desirable.
  • 5-7 years of Alts product management and/or relevant investment experience
  • Background in alternative investments at private wealth management firm preferred
  • Series 7 preferred

Compensation Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $155,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
