AMERICAS CORPORATE COMMODITY SALES- ASSOCIATE (JOB NUMBER: GLO005795)


Business Overview:

BNPP’s commodity derivatives team is active globally, across all commodity complexes, including energy, metals, agriculture, and carbon. The corporate commodities sales desk for the Americas structures, markets, and executes commodity solutions for BNPP’s corporate and sponsor client base across the Americas. The team provides comprehensive risk management solutions for client’s commodity exposures, and for commodity risks related to strategic transactions, such as acquisitions, financings, and other corporate events.


The team is looking for a talented associate to contribute to this exciting and growing platform, with a focus on the LATAM region. This is a client-facing role with multiple responsibilities, including market updates, trade analysis, trade execution, client relationship development, prospecting, onboarding, and supporting senior salespeople. It is also imperative that Salespeople collaborate closely with internal teams globally, across global markets and banking.


  • Physical presence in BNPP’s office(s) is an essential function of this position. Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or other similar major
  • 3+ years of markets industry experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to perform complex tasks under pressure
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg
  • Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of commodity specific experience
  • 3+ years of client facing experience
  • Understanding of the LATAM region and corporate client universe
  • Spanish Speaking

The expected starting salary range for this position in New York (or if the location is in New Jersey we’ll indicate New Jersey) is between $150,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
