Examples of Work

The AmeriCorps Program Officer position will:

-Oversee recruitment of new programs, members and maintain positive relationships with current AmeriCorps program leads.

-Be responsible for reporting and evaluation of sub grantees and providing oversight and training of host sites and members.

-Researches, reviews, analyzes, and reports on federal regulations, state laws and administrative requirements that may affect an assigned program for intent and meaning and to formulate appropriate changes in State policies and procedures.

Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent coursework/training, in public administration, social/behavioral sciences, healthcare, human services or other program related field. Professional experience working in a human/social service or health care agency with responsibility for planning or evaluation services, programs or operational policies and practices may substitute in lieu of the educational requirement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Needs to be detail oriented, ability to understand grant budgets, ability to read and comprehend federal regulations and policies for monitoring purposes to provide guidance to sub-grantees. Compliance and quality focused, willingness and eager to learn and implement best practices. Customer friendly, strong communication skills, professional, serves as a role model demonstrating ethical conduct and respect for others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.20 per hour
