AES Clean Energy (ACE) is seeking an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Analyst for its Maintenance Support Services team. This role will support the O&M team by providing monitoring of the solar and battery storage projects, and dispatching technicians for corrective maintenance as appropriate. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to analyze and coordinate information and improve processes. This position will be based at the AES Clean Energy office in Salt Lake City, UT, but may require the monitoring of East Coast time zone projects.
A day in the life of the O&M Analyst will include, but is not limited to:
Daily monitoring of our SCADA platform(s) for alarms, alerts, and site issues. Build corrective maintenance tickets to supervise the site alarms and issues. Identify and characterize root cause of site alarms and issues to assist the technicians’ troubleshooting efforts and aid in minimizing equipment down-time. Promptly dispatch the AE Field Service technicians or O&M contractors around the country to address the corrective maintenance issues. Follow up on open corrective maintenance tickets. Keep detailed records of communications and interactions with these parties and other stakeholders. Hold technicians accountable for checking onto and away from project sites, while conducting their work in a Safety-First manner. Partner with the O&M Remote Operations Centers on monitoring and dispatching for site alarms and issues.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Hold technicians accountable for checking onto and away from project sites.
- Promote and support technicians to conduct their work in a Safety-first manner.
- Responsible for the operational portfolio performance of the non-regulatory solar and storage sites.
- Identify and characterize root cause of site underperformance to assist the O&M Engineering team.
- Become familiar with specific site configurations and assist in optimizing systems for best performance and revenue generation.
- Perform Job Safety Assessments and Safety Walks as appropriate.
- Track and report on contract compliance obligations.
- Service report review and appropriation in our document storage system and/or CMMS.
- Identify opportunities to improve site performance and reduce field service costs.
- Ad-hoc analysis as requested.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required, Trade or Undergraduate Technical education preferred.
- Ability to interpret solar project blueprint and designs.
- Familiarity with solar PV and battery storage design, components, and operation.
- Experience using CMMS, PMP, and ERP systems is a plus.

- Strong proficiency with MS Office tools and cloud-based document management systems.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including an ability to maintain calm and effective exchanges with all parties – internal and external.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.

- Ability to be flexible with a changing and challenging work schedule.
- Ability to successfully work remotely and independently, away from an office environment or direct supervision, for extended periods of time.
Job Location and Details:
- Reports to the Field Service Support Team Lead on the Maintenance Support Services team.
- Role will be based out of Salt Lake City, UT.
- Travel is expected to be occasional. Travel may involve visiting project sites, and/or for occasional training, conventions, seminars, etc.
