Best Friends Pet Hotel is looking to hire additional staff to join our team. We are currently seeking bright, energetic, individuals who work hard, pay close attention to detail and have a love of pets. Our Charlotte, NC location currently has part-time Animal Care Technician and Doggy Day Camp Counselor roles available.
This position requires supervision and clean up after doggy playgroup, lots of on-your-feet exercise - walking pets, throwing balls, and scratching ears. Candidates must be able to lift 40 lbs, be on your feet 4-5 hours at a time, and have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
General pet boarding experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and maintenance of pet suites, condos, general boarding areas, and kitchen
- Feeding and watering pet guests
- Monitoring and charting every pet guest
- Monitoring pet belongings
- Laundering duties
- Supervising dog in a group play setting
- Assisting other associates and performing other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions
- High School diploma or equivalent
