The Public Schools of Brookline is seeking qualified candidates to provide English language development instruction to English learners in grades K-8.

- Selects or develops appropriate instructional materials to meet the needs of diverse
- Prepares lesson plans that incorporate the WIDA Standards Framework, state and
curriculum guidance.
- Provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum
- Evaluates instruction and assesses student achievement regularly.
- Administers and proctors state and federal assessments (i.e. ACCESS for ELLs).

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in ELL/ESL, Applied Linguistics, Language & Literacy, Multicultural Education, or a related field
- Valid Massachusetts DESE ELL/ESL licensure
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Knowledge of WIDA resources and grade-level content standards
- Citizenship, residency, or work VISA in the United States
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in ELL/ESL, Applied Linguistics, Multicultural Education, or a related
- Experience administering ACCESS for ELLs
- Trained to administer the WIDA Screener and preIPT
- 1 to 3 years of student teaching, internship, aide, or teaching experience in an
