The West Seneca Central School District has anticipated vacancies for the upcoming school year for a Speech Teacher. These positions will be probationary appointments for individuals who hold certification in the Speech tenure area.

Required Certification: Speech PreK-12

Roles:

  • Speech teacher working across all levels - K through 12 ensuring educational relevance in general education and special education classrooms
  • Serving a wide range of disorders (speech sound disorders, language, fluency)
  • Highlighting language/literacy and culturally competent services
  • Role may include, but not limited to, working with students in the home/non-public buildings or sites outside the school campus.

Range of responsibilities:

  • Prevention, assessment, intervention
  • Data collection
  • Compliance - appropriate teaching certificate and NYS license (or ASHA CCC) for Medicaid billing
  • Ability to work with families, students and collaborate with teachers and administration

Previous completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
