Job Summary: The Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk processes accounts payable/receivable payments and maintains detailed documentation for the Housing Authority of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. You will report to the Cash Manager/Treasurer.
Pay Rate: $17.99 | Full-Time | Monday- Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Primary Tasks:
You will assist Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Coordinator in processing AP payments. This includes approving and posting check payment batches, monitoring daily cash requirements, maintaining check stock inventory and securing board member signatures when applicable.
You will process Accounts Receivable payments, balance daily receipts, prepare deposits, process returned checks and maintain NSF file.
You will compile monthly cash disbursement journal for board meeting.
You will maintain multiple credit card and toll access accounts.
You will review, research and report payment information to multiple vendors.
You will process board members stipend/mileage reimbursements monthly.
You will maintain records for Cultural Center and Flower Fund including processing deposits, checks and receiving auditorium rental and deposit payments.
You will maintain adequate supporting documents by filing or scanning. Practice solid internal controls and theft prevention.
You will maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping payment information confidential.
Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Intermediate knowledge of computer programs, including Windows and Microsoft applications
Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge and understanding of federal travel regulations.
Two years related work experience
