Could this be you?

Reporting to the VP, Chief Advanced Practice Officer this individual will be a critical resource supporting the development and expansion of an innovative virtual care model that supports Village Medical patients 24/7. This individual will lead a team of Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs) to deliver a best-in-class virtual patient experience. This role will create structure and process around provider scheduling, quality assurance, and workflow development to support our APP-led team through a period of rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities of the Manager, Virtual Care include:

  • Serve as an operational and clinical leader for a team of Advanced Practice Providers that deliver direct patient care through chat, virtual visits (telehealth), and our Patient Service Center
  • Manage all provider scheduling functions to ensure 100% uptime of a 24/7 virtual care model while balancing the needs and experience of our APP team
  • Partner with VP, Chief Advanced Practice Officer to develop a quality assurance program that leads to data driven continuous improvement across the team
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Clinical Leadership to develop workflows that improve patient and provider experience
  • Develop a monthly reporting framework to demonstrate both team productivity and program impact and effectiveness

What you bring to VillageMD:

  • Experience with value-based care and demonstrated understanding of operations’ role in supporting success in a value-based model
  • Track record of working to develop Electronic Medical Record and CRM workflows, preferably in athenahealth and Salesforce Healthcloud
  • Understanding of the complexities and licensing requirements of running a virtual care delivery model
  • Strong mentoring and relationship building skills with ability to effectively manage group and interpersonal conflict situations
  • 3-5 years of practice operations experience, preferably in a primary care or virtual care setting with a proven track record of successfully leading teams on complex initiatives
  • 3-5 years of practice as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Thorough understanding of the healthcare environment and specific knowledge of physician practice management and virtual care delivery
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business administration
  • National board certification as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner
