General Position Summary: The Appraisal Assistant is selected by the Departmental Supervisors. The Appraisal Assistant is a self-motivated individual who has the responsibility to assist the appraisers in their work in an organized manner. She has the ability to learn various work processes and maintain written procedures in an organized manner. The position requires researching and addressing inquiries through correspondence, phone calls and in the office regarding mobile homes. The Appraisal Assistant is under direct supervision of a Senior Appraiser and works closely with the appraisal staff.
Desirable Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
1. Must have a passing grade on the five Skill Tests (Numerical, Alphabetical, Name Checking, Number Checking and Number Facility.)
2. Have some knowledge of modern office practices including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
3. Accept responsibility and have the ability to adapt to activities in a positive manner as situations dictate.
4. Have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, management and public contacts.
5. Have the ability to work in a team environment.
6. Shall perform any other duties necessary to fulfill the goals of PRAD.
