Apprentice Electrician (# USSA-AP0523)

As a concept to commissioning, multi-discipline contractor, we provide complete detailed Engineering, Design, Automation, and PLC/DCS Programming, as well as Plant Operating, Instrument and Electrical, Fiber Optic, Boring, Powerline Construction and Maintenance Services.

Position and Location:

We are currently seeking Apprentice Instrument Technicians and Electricians for our Floresville, TX location to expand in the fast paced and growing oil and gas market.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists with install, repairs, and commissioning of electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
• Assists with install of cable tray, conduits, and pipes for electrical wires and cables.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Replaces conduit and wiring as directed when needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Show up on time prepared for work.
• Fill out and/or assist with job site hazard assessments.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Computer knowledge for use of on-line work orders and time sheets.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to understand and communicate in a proper manner on email, text, or phone.
• Relay information and questions through the proper hierarchy chain.
• Ability to adapt to last minute changes and redirect course of project completion accordingly.
• Ability to work independently, or as part of a team.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ongoing education, completion of a formal apprenticeship, or valid electrician’s license.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
• Must be physically capable of all mentioned duties.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Work minimum 8 hours a day.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Drive for extended periods of time throughout the day.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must possess a valid Driver's license and clean abstract.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation:

Negotiable depending on experience.

1st/2nd Year Apprentice $18-$24

3rd/4th Year Apprentice $24-$28
