Area Leader - Southern California
Job description
As an Area Leader, you will Better Days by leading and inspiring a team of Store Leaders to create a customer and team member journey that is aligned with Philz Core Values. You will influence your team of Store Leaders to build the Philz culture and community while focused on achieving financial and operational goals in each store.
This role must be able to travel daily within the LA and Orange county markets
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop relationships with and inspire your team to achieve financial goals while creating a positive customer and team experience
- Responsible for the success of your leaders in maintaining the operations of each store including inventory levels, labor, waste management, facilities and maintenance and safety compliance
- Strategize alongside key stakeholders to implement company initiatives, facilitate change and drive sales objectives
- Focus on the development of your leaders and their teams through active listening, building trust and constructive feedback
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 5+ years previous experience leading a team in a fast-paced, high-touch, retail environment with multi-unit experience in various geographic locations,
- 7+ years of previous operational experience with exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent financial acumen with experience in P&L oversight and proven ability to grow revenue and manage costs.
- Proven ability to lead teams and effectively coach,train, manage and motivate leaders.
- Strong organizational skills, interpersonal communication and problem solving skills and the ability to implement and maintain infrastructure.
- Experience with Google Suite/Microsoft and retail technology/inventory management software such as Square, Hubworks, Netsuite.
- Ability to travel within the area and domestically.

- Role involves sitting most of the time, walking and standing are required only occasionally
- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to others
- Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
**Compensation & Benefits
A reasonable estimate of the starting annual base salary for this role is $95,000 to $115,000. Please note that the base salary will vary based on qualifications, previous experience, and work location.
