Provide daily support, knowledge and leadership to the team to meet all Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity measures
Requirements:
The Area Manager has the authority, responsibility, and accountability to provide leadership to lead the area, department, and line employees. This includes:
- Oversee the function of one or more Team Leaders within an area or several areas within the factory
- Coordinate the production activities of the department/line
- Ensure that department employees have adequate tools, supplies, and equipment to perform their job duties
- Ensure department employees have adequate training for the process they are performing
- Coach and direct employees in quality expectations, daily task direction, performance, skills development and housekeeping
- Review work of department/line employees for compliance to quality standards, tolerances and material specifications
- Communicate performance goals to department/line employees
- Attendance and Performance Management
- High level of manufacturing knowledge related to area of responsibility
- Open and approachable to employees
- Able to organize analytical, administrative, and reporting needs
- Associates Degree or higher level of educational accomplishment in a related field is preferred
- 3-5 years related manufacturing/warehousing leadership experience
