Beechwood Sales & Service is hiring an Area Sales Manager (ASM) to oversee the development of the Sales force while successfully growing the sales and distribution of the Beechwood portfolio in the assigned territory.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise, mentor, and direct assigned Sales Team to ensure the greatest possible sales and distribution of products
- Grow both on and off premise account base within assigned territories through successful sale, distribution, and placement of Craft portfolio
- Understand and promote the value of properly merchandised products and signage at retail; Ensure proper merchandising of accounts with permanent and paper POS
- Develop rapport with Key accounts, assigned customer base, and promote the goodwill of the company
- Handle customer inquiries regarding credit, delivery, product information, invoicing and other inquiries as they arise
- Organize the sales department’s structure including assigning accounts, territories, and product lines.
- Recruit, select, and train the sales force, including annual reviews
- Schedule and assist personnel to cover promotional activities, festivals, and special events
- Prepare monthly sales objectives and plan of action related to business activities, including projecting sales and ordering products and POS
- Assist in handling supplier relationships as required
- Other duties as assigned

Essential Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in marketing, sales and/or business management
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent knowledge of Beechwood portfolio, trends, and developments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of legal requirements regarding the sale and delivery of alcoholic beverages
- Excellent managerial, communication, and leadership capabilities
- Direct experience in the beverage industry
Critical Physical Demands:
- Use of hand and foot controls for driving
- Walking and climbing stairs
- Two handed lifting, handling and carrying of cases from floor to overhead levels on a frequent basis.
- Pushing and pulling a hand truck and/or cart on level and inclined surfaces on a frequent basis
- Sustained squatting, kneeling, and/or bending while handling products
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate business equipment including, but not limited to, computer, telephone, adding machine
