DMAC Security is seeking to hire a qualified candidate for Healthcare Security Officer. The officer will work in a hospital or healthcare facility. The safety and security of the facilities that they guard are the responsibility of our officers. Our security officers serve as a visible deterrent to crime and site rule violations; they discover and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal conduct that may endanger the property, clients, guests, or staff. Depending on the place where they work, vital tasks may vary, such as observing and detecting criminal activity, then alerting the proper authorities. Your thorough awareness and prompt response help to keep properties secure and everyone feeling safe. As a Healthcare Security Officer, you will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior), control access and egress, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, compose reports, and perform other duties as specified in post orders. Ideal for someone who is friendly, energetic, and welcoming to customers. Will need to be able to retain information on the site to be able to answer guests' general questions.

Main Responsibilities
Specific Duties and Functions

• Observing and remaining vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity

• Inspecting all security devices and fire control equipment
• Screening members, visitors, and client employees to expedite their admittance to the facility
• Responding to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, or inclement weather with calm urgency
• Preparing logs and investigative reports, as required, by writing, typing, or entering accurate information that can be easily interpreted by fellow officers and supervisors
• Reading and interpreting police reports, local and state law, and procedure manuals
• Accurately entering information and maintaining the Lost and Found department log while adhering to the stated restrictions as they appear in the departmental manual
• Ensuring that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards
• Successfully pass the client's pre-employment screening process (Drug Test, Health Screen, Criminal Background Check)
• Ability to properly wear an N95 mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines while onsite
• Complete healthcare competency assessment and training on defusing assaultive behavior

The Ideal Candidate

Be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED

•
Have a reliable and functional means of communication (i.e., cell phone)

•
The legal right to work in the United States

•
Possess a valid government-issued driver's license

•
Active state-issued guard card

•
Must have a reliable means of transportation

• Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen, background investigation and required immunizations
