Voted 'Best Gallery' for the last 11 years running in our flagship Solana Beach gallery and nominated Best Gallery in Carmel for the last two years, we are looking for a self-starter to service customers and develop new business both inside and outside our gallery location. We are looking for a full-time consultant to work inside the gallery while developing your own business (30 hours/week)

Business Development Requirements:
The gallery sales consultant is responsible for generating sales by providing excellent customer service. The gallery consultant will be working under the guidance of the gallery director, maintaining the appearance of the gallery and sending daily reports to the director and gallery owners.
Work to achieve monthly sales goals by establishing relationships with prospects and collectors and working to meet their needs.
Will be given leads to follow up with as well as continually grow your sales pipeline with walk-ins, phone calls, and online inquiries.
Must be comfortable reaching out to local businesses regarding potential art sales.
Will work with the gallery director and gallery owners to ensure successful gallery events.
Must have excellent follow-up skills, including the ability to master the gallery’s client resource management software.
Strong computer skills are a necessity. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Must possess the ability and desire to learn and effectively to convey product information.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of luxury retail sales or business development experience required.
The emotional intelligence to read people and be able to respond in a way that not only enhances the client’s gallery experience but also drives toward a sale.
Flexibility to work varied days and hours, including weekends. Director provides set monthly work schedule/hours.
Candidates must be articulate and proficient in providing comprehensive client guidance to private collectors, art consultants, and interior designers.
We require the professional to have the ability to deliver excellent customer service while developing their own Gallery book of business.
The perfect candidate must be professional, driven and adept in seeing the sales process through from beginning to closure.
Benefits / Perks:
This highly incentivized, commission position has the potential for huge growth, as average works range in price from $150 to $8,000 per piece. This position pays a generous hourly base plus a 10% commission. Average salary range: $60,000 - $150,000 per year.
