FUN AND REWARDING CHILDREN'S ART TEACHER NEEDED IN OLYMPIA & TUMWATER!

Local, well established children's fine art program looking for an art teacher to enrich children's lives through art for our Summer classes beginning June 26th at Olympia Parks and Recreation and for our after school classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday's beginning the 3rd week in September. Must be willing to sign a one year contract.

• Dates and times are as follows for the Summer Camps; (8 hours each day, including an hour for lunch):
• June 26th, 27th, 28th, and 29th (9:00am-3:00pm)
• July 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th (9:00am-3:00pm)
• July 24th, 25th, 26th, and 27th (9:00am-3:00pm)
• August 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th (9:00am-3:00pm)
• August 21st, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th (9:00am-3:00pm

The dates and times for the afterschool program will begin the 3rd week of September at the Tumwater elementary schools and the times will vary slightly. All are afterschool courses for 3 hours a day Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through-out the entire school year (minus holidays and school breaks).

Here are the minimum requirements:
Must have a Bachelors art degree with the ability to show your recent artwork (preferably figurative; please email with your resume). Experience teaching art to children is preferred but not a requirement.

-Must enjoy children in helping them improve their drawing skills and confidence to develop their creative process.

-Must have reliable transportation.
-Must pass a background check.

What we provide:
All supplies and curriculum as well as video and in person training.

Pay:

$23 per hour to start
$15 an hour for one hour per week for completing the lesson plan prior to teaching and for supply pickup once per month.
