Assembly Lead and Facilities Coordinator

- Prioritize daily activities within assembly area
- Procurement of outside parts/components
- Assembly of components and systems based on item availability and project need dates
- Maintain Assembly data within the Production Planning software tool
- Provide schedule data for assembly activities within the Production Scheduling Tool
- Provide documented feedback to engineering and internal customers regarding design documentation and manufacturing errors as well as recommended changes.
- Read and interpret mechanical and or electrical drawings and blueprints in support of assembly activities
- Develop and maintain a focus on creative problem solving.
- Assist in all project areas when need arises.
- Develop and deliver performance feedback on personnel to management for specific projects or work assignments.
- Act as point of contact for outside contractors in support of facility maintenance activities
- Coordinate contractor visits to site in conjunction with general facilities support organization (JLL)
- Monitor contractor activities while on site and assist in managing the budget relative facilities maintenance
Years of Experience (if applicable): 8 years Machine Shop and/or Maintenance and/or Welding background required.
- Proficiency with standard Office products (word, excel, etc.) is required.
- Nine to twelve months required to learn job scope.
- Experience with business process improvement principles such as Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, 5S, Human Performance, etc. preferred.
