Assembly Technician

Skarda Equipment Co, Inc is an Omaha based distributor of pneumatic, hydraulic and electric motion control components servicing Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Skarda Equipment Co. seeks an Assembly Technician, to function within our Warehouse Operations Department. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and possess a willingness to learn.

Our warehouse is 100% climate controlled with heat and A/C. This is a 40 hour/week, full-time position (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday). Individual assembles hydraulic and pneumatic subsystems, components and kits, according to customers’ and end users’ requirements and specifications.

Job Functions of an Assembly Technician

• Assemble and Kit components and subsystems using written and visual instructions as necessary while verifying accuracy
• Assisting with General Maintenance
• Keeping floors clean and clear of debris and clutter
• Assisting with General cleanliness of the sidewalks and surrounding areas when necessary.
• Assisting with snow removal in the wintertime
• Loading and unloading shipments from parcel and LTL carriers
• Verifying accuracy of received shipments against packing lists
• Pulling orders and verifying accuracy before packaging for shipment

Desired Skills for an Assembly Technician

• Ability to read and accurately interpret documents and finished product images
• Capacity to formulate and standardize proper assembly order of operations
• Ability to stand throughout shift
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds periodically.
• Willingness to learn
• Mechanically related college courses/formal training
• Experience within hydraulic/pneumatic related fields
