Assistant Accountant
My client is a private equity firm which is acquiring and managing assets in a variety of sectors they are currently looking to hire an Assistant Accountant for their city centre based offices. Upcoming expansion will offer direct access to senior management and stakeholders. The Assistant Accountant reports to the Group FC and CFO, the role will aid in the core of the Finance and Accounting functions of the group.
Duties:
- Preparation of management accounts in conjunction with FC
- Posting of bank transactions and preparing bank reconciliations
- Posting PO's and managing PO process and approval for multiple entities
- Running the creditor payment process for monthly payment runs
- Running payroll process for circa. 25 employees and posting to the system
- Preparing PAYE/ PRSI submissions
- VAT reconciliations and VAT returns for Group entities
- Posting of share transactions in our investment entity
- Weekly cash transaction reporting
- Assisting with year-end financial audit and liaison with external auditors
- Various ad-hoc analyses and financial reporting as required
Requirements
- Bookkeeping experience is essential
- Part Qualified desirable
- A collaborative cross-functional work style
- Self-starter with a high level of diligence, ability to work on own initiative
- Sage or similar & ERP, intermediate Excel
- Goal-oriented and results-driven
