Client Profile

Our client is an expanding Irish business in the tech sector who are entering into new markets overseas. They are looking to scale up the Finance team with the addition of an Assistant Accountant who will report directly to the CFO and support across all areas of Finance.

With an office in the City Centre, the role will be based remotely on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

The Role: Assistant Accountant

This role is a general role within a busy Finance function of a growing organisation. Reporting directly to the CFO, some of the duties involve:

• All areas of managing creditors
• Debtor management
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts with analysis of results and commentary
• Preparation of key metrics and automating reporting process
• Statutory Returns - VAT, etc.
• Manage balance sheet
• Manage bank accounts
• Management of overheads and cost control
• Assist with preparation and filing of statutory accounts and other statutory returns
• Ad-hoc projects

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have the following skills or experience:

• Relevant experience in a broad role in a Finance team
• Highly analytical
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Strong IT skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong communicator
• Self-motivating and able to work on own initiative
