The Goddard School of South Windsor, CT is a unique and exciting, premier childcare program, specifically tailored for children from Infants to Pre-kindergarteners. We operate 12 months a year, and our focus is on early childhood development creating young, excited learners. This is a brand-new center, opening in Spring 2023.

We are seeking a dynamic and creative self-starter to join our team as the assistant director in the program. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in early childhood education, preferably with a minimum of 3 years of management experience. There are endless opportunities for the creative mind to build our programming for young children. The Assistant Director's responsibilities include:

• Overseeing School operations in conjunction with the Director, including quality assurance.
• Developing and implementing center wide activities and events.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with School faculty and families.
• Assisting Program Director in managing the School budgeting and licensing requirements.
• Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education.
• Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management and multitasking skills.

Qualifications:

• BA or BS Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or related field.
• Prior managerial experience in an Early Childhood and/or preschool setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Teambuilder.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
• Ability to reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work.
