Responsibilities:

• Assist the Hotel General Manager (GM) with the day-to-day operations of the property including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, laundry, and sales.
• Responsible for goal setting, motivation/ discipline of employees, labor expense control, and general expenses
• Hire team members
• The AGM is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist with operations, to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.
• Will be responsible to complete the duties of GM during times when the GM is not available
• Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
• Manage online and phone reservations
• Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
• Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
• Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Coordinate with our head housekeeper to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy to accommodate guests’ needs
• Book and confirm group reservations
• Maintain updated records of bookings and payments

Requirements:

• Energetic, self-motivated leader with strong work ethic required
• Work experience in hotel management, front desk management, receptionist, or similar role a plus
• Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills required
• Ability to direct, oversee, and multiple task simultaneously
• Ability to work and interact with employees on every level
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, experience with hotel reservations software and front desk system is a plus
